Rules for Submitting Data

General

  • Please provide a short description (no longer than 100-150 characters) for each item submitted.
  • Files should be ZIPped, along with a README.TXT (not required, but recommended) containing contact information and any special instructions.
  • Please submit only your own data, unless you have permission from the author to redistribute it, or the author can no longer be located.
  • A website URL or e-mail address is recommended, but not required. All e-mail addresses will be altered (name[at]address.com) to prevent harvesting by spam bots.
  • This is not a general ROM hack repository; I don't have the space necessary to hold a zillion ROM hacks, nor the desire to keep them updated. Use Zophar's Domain for that.
  • I reserve the right to edit preview screenshots or file descriptions to improve clarity or reduce file size. This does not include the data itself or any accompanying READMEs, though.

    Tilesets

  • Please supply a GIF or PNG preview of your tileset (preferably tiles and Map16 side-by-side, like this), no larger than 512*256, with an appropriate palette applied. This doesn't have to show the tileset "in action," just a snapshot of Lunar Magic's tile editor will do. NO JPEGs please!
  • ExGFX files must be ready to insert, no larger than 4,096 bytes, with a .BIN extension.
  • "Loose" graphics (i.e. sprite sheets) are OK, but don't go overboard on the file size. And, again, no JPEGs.

    Palettes

  • Palette files should be in Tile Layer Pro (.TPL) or Lunar Magic (.MW3) format.

    Levels

  • Levels extracted with a version of Lunar Magic older than 1.60 must include all the necessary files (*.MWL, *.MW0, *.MW1, *.MW2, and *.MW3). Version 1.60 uses only one .MWL file.

    Custom Blocks and ASM Hacks

  • Please include a README describing how to insert and use each block/hack.

    If you have read and agree to the above rules, you may proceed to either post the data at ROM Hacker Central, or e-mail it to me.
